Two teens hurt in scooter accident

Two minors were rushed to the hospital after they had been involved in a road accident caused by one of them. Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Paulina Yakimovski has told Info-Prim Neo that the 17-year-old boys were riding scooters on a road near Domulgeni village, Floresti. One of them tried to overtake the other, but crashed his vehicle into the second. He suffered a facial injury, while his mate - a serious leg injury, Info-Prim Neo reports. A speeding motor scooter driven by a 40-year-old man overturned in the center of Straseni town. The passenger aged 7 suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion, while the driver – elbow bruises. Four persons were hurt when a BMW collided with a Volkswagen on Decebal Blvd. in Chisinau. The driver of the Volkswagen sustained a concussion and fractures. Three occupants also received injuries. A six-year-old girl broke a finger when she was struck by a Mercedes on Chisinau's Bacioii-Noi street, while another one aged 10 suffered a concussion and a parietal fracture when she was hit by a Mitsubishi on Traian Blvd. Seventeen persons were injured in ten accidents on the national roads in 24 hours. The traffic police fined four persons for DUI, 80 speeding drivers and 26 persons traveling unbuckled.
