Two men aged 23 and 55 were admitted to the hospital in a serious condition after they poisoned themselves with an unidentified gas. The men entered a sewerage well to pump water and were unable to get out.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Diana Turcan said the accident happened on Europei St in Codru town of Chisinau municipality in the afternoon of July 14.
One of the men descended the five-meter well and didn’t come out. His colleague went after him and also got stuck. Eyewitnesses called the firefighters.
The men were rushed to the hospital with the help of a SMURD team. One of them is in a serious state, while the other one is in a medium-grave state.
