Two-year-old crushed by truck

A two-year-old child died under the wheels of a truck in Gangura village, Ialoveni district. Ialoveni police chief Col. Oleg Pohila told Info-Prim Neo that the driver didn’t see the child, who crawled under the truck when it was parked. The tragedy happened on Sunday, July 22. The child was with his mother, who was talking to the 23-year-old driver and didn’t notice when her baby went under the truck. When the vehicle moved, the child was crushed. The commissar denied speculation that the driver had no license. It was established that driver wasn’t drunk either. The case investigated by the Investigation Service of the Ialoveni Police Commissariat. No criminal case has been opened yet. Under to the Criminal Code of Moldova, homicide by imprudence is punishable by up to three years in jail.
