Unidentified person fires air gun in the street

An individual fired several shots from an air gun in the street, towards a trolleybus running on route No. 24. The incident happened on Alecu Russo Street in Chisinau's Ciocana district at about 10 A.M on Friday. Adrian Jovmir, press officer with the General Police Commissariat, has told Info-Prim Neo that three windows of the trolleybus were damaged, but neither the passengers nor the driver were injured. The person who shot has not been yet identified. When the police arrived at the scene, all the passengers dispersed. The driver and the conductor saw nothing, Adrian Jovmir said. The head of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Gheorghe Margoci stated for Info-Prim Neo that the damage caused to the company was assessed at about 3,000 lei. The case is investigated by the Ciocana police station. If identified, the culprit will stand trial for hooliganism.
