The Union Council addressed an open letter to President Nicolae Timofti by which it asks encouraging the processes of intra-Romanian homogenization as a guarantee for keeping and strengthening Moldova’s European course. The Union Council wished success and resistance to the Moldovan delegation that goes to the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit.
In a news conferee at IPN, the chairman of the Association “Tiras-Tighina” and co-chairman of the Union Council Anatol Caraman said the Council’s members continuously pleaded for the European future of the people from the left bank of the Prut River and welcome any step that will secure the irreversible European course of Moldova, including the events set to take place at the Vilnius Summit.
“The Union Council salutes the univocal support of the EU for the cooperation between the two Romanian states, including by the common visit paid by the Romanian Premiers to Brussels. The European projects implemented in Moldova with Romania’s assistance offer opportunities for harmonizing the national legislation and implementing the European legislation on the left bank of the Prut too,” said Anatol Caraman.
The open letter to Nicolae Timofti says that the head of state should adopt a trenchant and firm position and should encourage the European integration processes.
In the same connection, Vitalie Prisacaru, the representative of the Civic Action 2012, which is a member of the Union Council, called on the Moldovan people to come to the Great National Assembly Square on December 1, when it is marked the National Day of Romania, and to take part in the events that will be staged on this occasion, including the union round dance and a recital of patriotic songs.
