Union Fenosa offers details about accident that killed an electrician

The 22 year old man that was electrocuted on June 15, while repairing an electric installation in Stauceni didn’t respect safety rules. The information was offered by Union Fenosa in a press statement, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Union Fenosa informs that the young man was a worker of Savtels Ltd. According to a normal request, the Savtels team was allowed to change a switch at the electric installation that belongs to Union Fenosa.
The cell was disconnected in repair position and the cable channel was fixed to earth. All the workers were instructed about safety rules. From that moment, the responsibility of supervising the team during the works was the duty of team leader sent by the contracting enterprise, reads the statement.
The young man was shown the place where to perform prevention works at the cell’s cable channel. For reasons unknown, he moved inside the installation. Despite a warning sign, he opened the screen to the sector with bars under tension and he was electrocuted. His colleagues took him outside and offered him the first aid, but couldn’t save him. When the doctors arrived, they confirmed the young man’s death.
The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Labor Inspection and by the law enforcement bodies.
