Theater is a magic art that inspires and provides joy, hope and optimism. Their presence made me happy this evening,” Minister of Culture Monica Babuc has told IPN.
Sandu Grecu said it was a successful evening, especially because there were new faces. “I’m happy for Dmitri Ahmadiev of the Tiraspol Theater “N. Aronetskaya”, who is a talented young man with prospects, for Luminita Tacu, who was nominated for the best direction, and for Snejana Puica, who is a very good actress. There are many young people who will help develop the theater,” he stated.
Sandu Grecu admitted that it is a challenge to organize such a large-scale event in Moldova, especially because the Theater Union is the largest cultural organization in the country with 900 members. The 46 prizes of 5,000 to 15,000 lei and the organizational costs came to over 400,000 lei. The trophies cast in bronze weigh 1.5 kilograms each. The medals were made from bronze with silver.
