The university admission process this year will take place between July 20 and August 31, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Education.
The aspirants will be able to file applications to a number of faculties simultaneously, at one or several universities. But they will be admitted to only one faculty within one higher education institution.
The admission contest covers both the budget-funded places and the contract-based places. There will be admitted the applicants with the highest contest average grade first. The contract-based places will be filled by those who didn’t get a budget-funded place, starting with the first coming after the last applicant who got such a place.
The quota of 15% of the budget-funded places intended for disadvantaged categories of people was maintained.
In Moldova there are 30 universities, including 19 state-run ones. There are 170 specialties in the bachelor’s degree level of the higher education.
