The director of the National Army Museum Vitalie Ciobanu launched his monograph “Bessarabian Servicemen 1917-1918” that is a study of the military operations performed in Bessarabia when it was part of the Russian Empire, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the author, the book is about the creation of the Bessarabian military committees, the anarchy in Bessarabia, the congress of the Moldovan soldiers, the organization of the national military units, etc. It contains telegrams, important documents, lists of soldiers.
At the launch of the study, lieutenant colonel Vitalie Ciobanu said he aimed to reveal documents that have not been yet covered by the national scientific analyses.
Attending the event, Doctor of Philosophy Victor Juc, a representative of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, said the theme of this book is very important as the National Army is a state institution that discovers the historical truth.
The monograph was issued in 500 copies.
