In the Republic of Moldova, the usurpation of the executive power in the state occurred as a result of the usurpation of the legislative power. A Parliament supported by 5-6% of the voters cannot give a vote of confidence to a legitimate government, member of the Council of protesters of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” Anatolie Petrici stated in a news conference at IPN

According to him, the current government does not respect the human dignity, rights and freedoms, justness and political pluralism, which are guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.

As regards the theft of the billion, Anatolie Petrici said the legislative power did absolutely nothing when the director of the National Anticorruption Center, the prosecutor general of Moldova and the deputy chairman of the Security and Intelligence Service made statements concerning the theft of money. Afterward, the Government submitted to Parliament a bill by which another 13 billion lei is to be stolen from the people.

“Instead of making the thieves who should be jailed restore the stolen billions, the Government and Parliament try to legalize the theft of another 13 billion lei,” stated Anatolie Petrici. According to him, the only solution for Moldova in the current situation is to hold early parliamentary elections.

The head of the Veterans Union of Moldova Victor Leanca said the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” encourages the voters to choose a worthy person who has a strong connection with society as Head of State in the October 30 presidential elections. “This person should be chosen from among members of society. This is a very good start. This person will have to make everything possible to hasten the parliamentary elections,” stated Victor Leanca.

The participants in the conference called on the population to unite and to take part in the scheduled large-scale protests so as to bring about changes in the country.
