The vacant posts of deputy minister will be filled in the May 32 meeting of the Government, while new ministers will be named after the Cabinet reform is completed, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who is the first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party, announced in a press briefing after the party’s weekly meeting, IPN reports.
Pavel Filip said the appointment of deputy minister at the ministries without heads is aimed at ensuring the functionality of the given institutions. “We will not name new ministers at these ministries because the Government reform is close to an end. I think that in a week, not this week, but the next week, we will approve the Law on the Government and will then seek support from our colleagues from Parliament. Immediately after this law takes effect, we will go to Parliament and will present the new structure and composition of the Government,” stated the Premier.
The first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party said he regrets that the Liberal colleagues withdrew from the coalition.
In another development, the Premier spoke about the First House project, saying that from today the concept of this project is proposed for public debates. The initial homebuilding contribution within the project will be of 10%. The beneficiaries will be able to take out a loan of up to 900,000 lei, repayable in 25 years. The concept is to be adjusted and then approved as a result of public consultations.
