The Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group considers the vote in favor of the no-confidence motion is irresponsible and regrettable. MP Vadim Pistrinciuc told the press that the PLDM cannot accept agreements made behind the scenes and the conservation of the system, as some want. The party will hold a meeting to decide its further actions and will then make its decision public, IPN reports.

The lawmaker said that from juridical-political viewpoint, the coalition agreement was violated as it clearly stipulates that a vote together with the opposition is not tolerated. “We now witnessed the dismissal of the own government,” he stated. According to Pistrinciuc, the arguments invoked in the motion are not based on evidence and are not justified.

“This coalition with the opposition and these common messages are discouraging. Today we witnessed a process when the Democratic Party practically borrowed the theses from the Party of Socialists. It’s said to ascertain this,” stated Pistrinciuc.

The lawmaker noted that Liberal-Democratic colleagues informed the faction that pressure is being exerted on them at the local level. He called on his colleagues to keep calm and not to yield up.

The Cabinet headed by the Lib-Dem Valeriu Strelet was dismissed by a majority of votes of MP on October 29. The no-confidence motion submitted by the Socialist and Communist lawmakers was also supported by the Democratic lawmakers, by 65 votes overall. The Liberal-Democratic MPs voted against, while the Liberal lawmakers and the unaffiliated MPs of the Leanca group abstained.
