Valentina Buliga was dismissed from the post of director general of the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS). A decision to this effect was approved by the Cabinet on June 24, IPN reports.

Prime Minister Maia Sandu said that until a new CNAS director general is elected, the duties of this will be performed by the Company’s vice president Tatiana Popa.

Valentina Buliga, who is a member of the Democratic Party, was named director general of the National House of Social Insurance in December 2018. In 2009-2015, Valentina Buliga served as minister of labor, social protection and family.

In the same meeting, Premier Sandu requested Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Vadim Brînzan to bring disciplinary proceedings against the head of the Technical Surveillance Agency, previously the State Constructions Inspectorate, Gennady Sajin. “Even if he is now the head of Ialoveni district, he continues to serve as Technical Surveillance Agency director. Everyone knows the abuses and violations committed by this person while in office. I think you should investigate these abuses and adopt an appropriate decision,” stated Maia Sandu.

The Cabinet also approved the resignation tendered by Vitalie Iurcu from the post of secretary of state at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
