Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev asks the journalists not to criticise Moldova abroad. “Even if the press is dissatisfied with something or the journalists are abused by somebody, these problems should be discussed in the country so as to send a common message for Moldova’s future abroad,” Vasile Tarlev told mass media representatives on January 25 after a meeting at the Government. The Premier said that all the states that joined the EU did so and all those that want a bright future for the country and nation do the same. Tarlev made the statement in the context in which he said that Moldova has yet a lot of work to do in the area of press freedom and that he is dissatisfied with such a state of affairs. In another development, when asked to name the ministries that lag behind in implementing the EU-Moldova Action Plan, Vasile Tarlev said that it is the Ministry of Justice, which is the main ministry responsible for implementation of reforms in this area.
