The 15th Very Short Film Festival will take place concomitantly in Chisinau and another 120 cities of the world on May 1. There will be screened a number of films lasting for at most three minutes, which is the only rule that must be obeyed, IPN reports.
Contacted by IPN, Lidia Troianowski, manager of the Gaudeamus Cultural Center, said the moviegoers will be able to see all genres of films, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental film, and comedy.
The thematic categories are: Very short films for the family/Très Courts Familia (at 16.00), Words of women/Paroles de Femmes (17.00), Short-reel films/Around the Très Courts (18.00), and International Section/Sélection Internationale (19.00).
The spectators will be able to vote for the best film by filling out a questionnaire that they will receive before the screening. The film that will gain most of the votes will be offered a money award. The condition is that the money should be invested in making a new movie.
The festival is organized by the French Alliance in cooperation with the Gaudeamus Cultural Center. Entrance is free of charge.
