Victims of April 7, 2009 events to receive allowances

The civilians and employees of the law enforcement bodies who sustained injuries in the April 7, 2009 protests will be given lump sums of 5,000 to 7,000 lei, depending on the gravity of the bodily injuries they suffered, Info-Prim Neo reports. The recipients were proposed by the governmental commission that deals with the identification of the victims and their compensation for the damage caused to them. The commission continues to receive applications from those who had been caused suffering. The list includes 116 persons - 73 protesters and 43 employees of the law enforcement bodies. The Government will allocate 632,000 lei from its reserve fund for allowances. Twenty persons received such allowances in 2010.
