Representatives of “Victory” bloc on Friday went to the Central Election Commission to submit the documents to be registered as an electoral bloc for the purpose of designating its candidate for the presidential election.
Contacted by IPN for details, the head of the CEC’s Communication, Public Relations and Media Department Rodica Sîrbu confirmed that the documents were submitted, specifying that the decision on registration will be taken in a public meeting. The time limit is five days from the date of receipt of the documents.
The documents for the registration of electoral blocs for the purpose of designating candidates for the election of the President of the Republic of Moldova are accepted between July 22 and August 25. The documents for the registration of electoral blocs for the national constitutional referendum can be submitted from July 22 to September 14. From July 22 until now, only “Victory” bloc has applied to be registered for designating its presidential candidate. A few days ago, it also submitted the documents for participation in the constitutional referendum.
The documents for the registration of initiative groups to support candidates for the office of President of the Republic of Moldova will be accepted during August 21-31. Between August 21 and September 20, it will be possible to submit the documents for registration as a participant in the referendum.
