The Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance Violina Șpac was chosen as a candidate for the post of director of the Administration Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) and will be proposed to Parliament for confirmation, IPN reports.
On February 12, the commission rerun the interview stage that involved candidates Violina Șpac and Lilian Barcaru, both employees of the NAER. On December 11, 2019, the two were admitted to the public contest to fill the post of director, while the third candidate withdrew from the competition invoking personal reasons.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation is managed by an Administration Board that consists of five directors. The post of NAER director general is now held by Veaceslav Untilă, while Octavian Calmîc, Eugen Carpov and Ștefan Creangă serve as directors.
The members of the Administration Board are appointed by Parliament decision for a six-year term.
