The Government appointed Vitalie Valcov as director general of the National Bureau of Statistics. So far this worked as the Bureau’s deputy director general, IPN reports.
Vitalie Valcov has experience in the field. Prime Minister Pavel Filip voiced hope that the new director will be able to bring to an end the processing of the data of the population and dwellings census taken in 2014. “We hope the processing of the census data will be finalized and the final results will be made public,” he stated.
Ala Negruta, specialist in statistics, was named as deputy director general of the National Bureau of Statistics. There were also filled two posts of deputy minister. Raisa Scai became deputy minister of labor, social protection and family, while Oleg Craciun – deputy minister of health. These both have experience in the given fields and held different public offices and posts in the private sector.
The Government also appointed Oleg Tatarciuc as Moldova’s plenipotentiary representative to the Bureau for Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Offenses on the Territory of the CIS.
