Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the Cabinet reshuffle about which he spoke earlier will take place. In the program “In Profunzime” on Pro TV channel on April 2, he stated that the reshuffle may start with the servants fielded by the Liberal Democratic Party that he heads, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We had a meeting of the Standing Bureau today and had a constructive discussion. Next week, the persons put forward by the party for executive posts will start presenting reports. I think we will give our own example as regards the promotion or replacement of some of our colleagues in the Cabinet,“ said Vlad Filat.
He also said that as party leader and Prime Minister, he wants results to be achieved. The number of civil servants who will be replaced has not been yet agreed.
Asked about the possible dismissal of the prosecutor general, Vlad Filat said the justice reform is an imperative and this reform also covers the Prosecutor General’s Office. As to the Liberal Party’s aspiration to manage this institution, he stated that this issue hasn’t been yet discussed within the Alliance for European Integration.
Eralier, Vlad Filat said the Cabinet reshuffle will include two stages. The press reported that among the officials who may be discharged are Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru, Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, and Minister of the Interior Alexei Roibu.
