Vlad Filat: Cabinet was dismissed because Vlad Plahotniuc was removed from presidium

Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the Government was dismissed because he didn’t distort the truth. According to him, there is a personage in Moldova who controls not only the economic processes, but also state institutions, which act by his order. “The removal of Vlad Plahotniuc from the presidium is the real reason for which the Government was dismissed,” Vlad Filat told the journalists after Parliament supported the no-confidence motion proposed by the Communists. Vlad Filat said that the March 5 vote in Parliament is an act of maximum irresponsibility. He said he will call a meeting of the Cabinet to discuss the representation of the PDM in the executive given that this party voted against the Government. According to Filat, the PLDM is to take a decision as regards the designation of a candidate for the post of Premier, as it has this right. “This is an internal matter of the party,” he stressed. The Filat Government was dismissed by the votes of 54 Communist, Democratic and unaffiliated MPs on March 5.
