The President of Russia Vladimir Putin assured that Moscow will not stop supporting President Igor Dodon because of the current situation in Moldova that is difficult. He was quoted by the Russian news agency Tass as saying that support will be provided to Igor Dodon and also to his current coalition partners so that they ultimately get rid of those people who usurped the power in Moldova until recently, IPN reports.

President Putin noted that despite any possible internal contradictions, these managed to find force to build a common activity in the interests of the Moldovan state and the Moldovans.

As to the current situation in Moldova, the Russian official said Moldova is not in an exclusive situation as the power in this country, as in Ukraine, was usurped by oligarchic forces, by oligarchs who subdued all the state institutions, including Parliament. The oligarchs gained money at the expense of the Moldovan people and then used it for personal welfare and to strengthen influence in the state.

Vladimir Putin added that what President Dodon and his so-called opponents until recently did is a step towards building an integral, civilized and modern state.
