“I expect radical changes from the new administration of Chisinau. First of all, the City Hall should be repaired and swept. The entire city must be cleaned,” the leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin said after casting his vote, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Communist leader voted at a polling place in central Chisinau together with his wife at 09.30. They were accompanied by several bodyguards. Vladimir Voronin told the press that the local general elections are as important as the parliamentary ones because they lay the foundation for constituting the other executive bodies. Asked by the journalists who he voted for, Vladimir Voronin said he voted for the PCRM, stressing that he is sure of the victory of his party. Fifty voters made their choice at the polling place hosed by “Antioh Cantemir” High School before Vladimir Voronin.
