There are at least two solutions for overcoming the political crisis, the Communist Party head Vladimir Voronin said in the program “In Profunzime” on Pro TV Chisinau channel on Monday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Communist leader, the solutions are - forming a broad coalition consisting of the four parliamentary parties, and holding early elections. “We earlier proposed joining and governing together. They laughed, showing they needed nothing. Instead of sitting at the negotiating table and considering the steps that must be taken and assuming responsibility, they do something else. It is true that the train is now too far. They cannot come to terms and solve the problems faced by the state. We must agree the main principles of the Moldovan state as regards the European integration and other issues and then see who can make sure that these principles are obeyed. We should sign a document together so as not to break these principles, which should be also discussed with the people,” said Vladimir Voronin. Asked if an alliance between the PCRM and PLDM is possible, Vladimir Voronin excluded such a possibility. “What can unite us? The cigarette or armament smuggling? I’m allergic to the word ‘alliance’,” he stated. He also said that after the local general elections of this summer, the PCRM and the PLDM had together a majority of seats in 18 districts. “We could have elected the district heads, but did not do it. Why should we form an alliance now?” asked the Communist leader. Vladimir Voronin said that if a broad coalition is not formed, he will launch a call to the voters. “We do not have much time. We must analyze the budgetary system and see what budget is proposed. When we came to power, the debt per capita was US$500, but now is US$1 500,” he stated. Earlier, the PCRM refused to hold talks with the Alliance for European Integration in order to find a solution to the crisis, saying they will discuss with every member party separately. Vladimir Voronin so far has met only with Vlad Filat, on the Liberal-Democratic leader’s initiative.
