The members of the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) on Wednesday approved the report of the commission for the external assessment of candidate Vladislav Gribincea for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), IPN reports.
According to the report, the commission unanimously concluded that Vladislav Gribincea meets the ethical and financial integrity criteria set out in the legislation. Thus, he is the candidate who passed the external assessment of ethical and financial integrity and was accepted by the SCM.
Vladislav Gribincea had headed the Legal Resources Center from Moldova during 2010-2022 and currently serves as the interim director of the Justice Program. He is a member of the Union of Lawyers of the Republic of Moldova and since 2002 he has represented applicants before the European Court of Human Rights and in strategic disputes at national level. He was involved as an expert in drafting the Justice Sector Reform Strategy for 2011-2016, as well as in reforming the legislation on judicial organization, civil procedure and criminal procedure.
Based on the 15 reports received from the commission for external assessment so far, the SCM concluded that 11 candidates passed the assessment, three of the candidates failed to pass the assessment, while the examination of one report was postponed.
