The head of the Communist Party (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin considers that the leader of the Democratic Action Party Mihai Godea and the three Communist lawmakers who negotiated with him are traitors, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Mister Godea does not want to be a sole traitor. He wants other colleagues to be traitors as well,” Vladimir Voronin told the reports, referring to the three Communist MPs who reportedly are ready to vote for the ruling alliance’s candidate for the presidency together with Mihai Godea.
Asked about the rumored defection of Igor Dodon from the PCRM, Vladimir Voronin said: “He may go if he wants. We will not cry. The party will be much stronger and united.”
In a news conference on September 26, Mihai Godea said the Democratic Action Party discussed with Communist MPs and identified three persons who are ready to vote for the candidate of the Alliance for European Integration. He did not make public the names of the three MPs, but said they are trustworthy persons who said they will vote and their decision is not aimed against the Community Party or another party. “They are dissatisfied that the party is not reformed and that the PCRM’s administration wants to seize power at any cost,” said Godea.
