“Our MPs are provoked into getting involved in such scandals”, said Communist leader Vladimir Voronin today, commenting on Thursday's tussle in Parliament. As to the Communists' intention to depose Deputy Speaker Vlad Plahotniuc, Voronin said that, in fact, the Communists seek the disbandment of the entire parliament and consequent early elections. “Here in Parliament, it's like a bunch of people who are not even in the slightest bit aware of the very difficult situation of people. We will struggle so that this parliament vanishes from the political landscape”, said Voronin. At the same time, Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu says clashes in Parliament are not spontaneous, but rather a sustained ploy of the Communists. “For months and weeks now we have witnessed this insolent and aggressive behavior that borders on obscenity. Thank God you don't hear what things they say there, out of the microphones' range, it's really outrageous. This indicates either a state of psychological stress or a well thought-out strategy intended to flare up tempers in Parliament. They try to discredit the legislative and justify their idea of early elections”. Lupu added that the Communists' demand to discharge Vlad Plahotniuc is part of their strategy.
