As many as 85,350 voters or 13.55% of those written on electoral registers took part in the referendum in Chisinau by 15:45pm.
Deputy head of the Chisinau District Electoral Council Vitalie Miron in a press briefing said that 84,000 people voted based on the main voter rolls, while over 1,200 on additional lists, IPN reports.
The voters in Botanica district remain the most active ones. The turnout in this district stood at 17.29%. Rascani came next with a turnout of 16%. In Centru district, the turnout was 14.11%, in Buiucani – 13.46%, while in Ciocana – 12.8%. As regards the suburbs, the lowest number of electors voted in Cruzesti commune, only 0.76%, while the largest number in Sangera, where the turnout was 24.69%.
No electoral challenge has been filed by 15:45pm. There were identified no other irregularities than those reported at 1pm.
