Voters more active in second round

The voter turnout in the municipality of Chisinau at noon was 23.1%, an increase of 1.5% compared with the first round of voting, chairman of the Chisinau District Electoral Council Iulian Balan said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The inhabitants of Centru district remain the most active. 25.8% of the voters cast their ballots there by 12.00. The turnout in Rascani district was 24.3%. In the other districts, the turnout was slightly over 23%. 22.2% of the eligible electors voted in the suburban settlements The nationwide turnout was 22.32%. The most active voters were those in Balti municipality – almost 35%. The most passive ones were in Ungheni and Cantemir districts – less than 18%. Elections are taking place in 512 settlements.
