The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service has said that the centralized automated warning system will be tested on June 25 at 2pm, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Service, the sirens are used to inform the population about possible radiation and chemical accidents or natural disasters, while the testing is aimed at seeing how the system works.

Thus, at 2pm the street sirens will be switched and will wail for one to three minutes, signaling “Attention everyone”.

The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service calls on the people to keep calm when they hear the sirens and on institution heads and decision makers of the local public authorities to make sure that the activity at local level goes on and there is no fuss.
