Challenges, solutions and policies in the water supply and sewerage sector (WSS) were discussed by representatives of the local and central administration with Moldovan and international experts from Germany and Romania. The discussions took place at "Water and Sewerage Infrastructure Development Projects. Experience Gained and Lessons Learned” Conference, organized today in Chisinau, IPN reports.
According to a press release of German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the experience and good practices regarding the development of the water supply and sewerage service have been shared. At the same time, the technical solutions for the design and construction of WSS infrastructure have been discussed, including the process of training the staff of the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) and "Apavital Iași" company.
The event was organized by "Moldova Apa-Canal" Association of Water and Sanitation Utilities, with the support of "Modernization of local public services in the Republic of Moldova" GIZ Moldova project and the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
