Activities are carried out in educational institutions to raise awareness of the consequences of the 1992 war to defend the integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova, to understand the responsibilities and rights of citizens and to promote tolerance and good understanding between peoples. They are conducted based on a circular issued by the Ministry of Education and Research, IPN reports.
The Week of Remembrance and Gratitude for those who fell in the 1992 war will be held in the country’s educational institutions until March 2. The teaching staff will organize mandatory memory and gratitude lessons. Also, the educational community is urged to stage meetings with local veterans who participated in the Nistru war so as to support a dialogue between generations based on responsibility, compassion and respect.
The activities are part of the events held to celebrate the Day of Remembrance and Gratitude for the defense of the integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova on March 2.
