Weightlifter Iurie Dudoglo ranks 16th at word champs

Moldova’s Iurie Dudoglo, 62kg class, ranked 16th in the World Weightlifting Championships held in Turkey. The 19-year-old athlete is the youngest representative of Moldova at these competitions. He lifted 121 kg in snatch and 145 kg in clean and jerk, Info-Prim Neo reports. Iurie Dudoglo is taking part in senior’s world champs for the first time. In 2009, he won a silver medal at the youth world championship. This year, he medaled at the European champs. Two more Moldovan athletes competed on September 17, the first contest day. Ghenadie Dudoglo ranked 18th in the 56kg class, while Igor Grabucea finished the last as he managed no lift in clean and jerk. Alexandru Dudoglo and Andrei Barca, both 77kg class, will enter the competition on September 22
