The winners of the 2022 National Award have been made known. Among the laureates are journalists, writers, doctors habilitate, a craftswoman and artists, IPN reports.
The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the list of personalities who will get the 2022 National Award. This includes university professor Gennady Korotchenkov, doctor habilitate in physical and mathematical sciences, senior scientific researcher. He was awarded for his fundamental contribution to developing science and technologies and for the promotion of Moldova’s image.
Doctor habilitate in biology Valentin Celac, senior scientific researcher, was awarded for accomplishments in scientific research, innovation and implementation, while writer Mircea Ciobanu, literary critic, book editor and journalist, was awarded for Opera Omnia, as was writer Constantin Cheianu journalist, author and TV presenter.
The award will also go to the duo consisting of pianist Anatolie Lapicus, university professor, head of the Piano Department of the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts, soloist of the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, master of arts and people’s artist, and pianist Iurie Mahovici, university professor, soloist of the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, master of arts and people’s artist. The trophy was awarded for 30 years of fruitful artistic activity and for the promotion of Moldova’s image in the world.
Among the laureates are craftswoman Lidia Bojescu, who founded the handicrafts center “Atelier Bojescu” and has endeavored to safeguard and perpetuate the tradition of making the national costume and handcrafting, and composer, musician, instrumentalist and producer Valeriu Bogheanu, who has contributed to the promotion of the moral-spiritual values and achieved remarkable results in his professional activity.
The winners were chosen by the National Award Commission by secret vote. The National Award consists of a diploma, a medal and 100,000 lei offered to each individual laureate or team.
