The 16th Winter Charity Bazaar organized by the International Women’s Club of Moldova will bring together 45 participants, 33 of whom representatives of embassies working in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. The U.S. Ambassador’s wife Marie Moser said that all the visitors of the bazaar will be able to go on a trip around the world without leaving the town because they will be able to taste the traditional dishes and different beverages of the countries represented at the event. Bazaar coordinator Jennifer Griffith said that return tickets for the Chisinau-Istanbul flight, an Ipad, wine and other traditional drinks as well as romantic dinners in the most famous restaurants of Chisinau will be offered at this year’s raffle. The raffle tickets can be bought at the bazaar for 10 lei. Maria Marinuta, the wife of Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta and secretary of the Club, said that the beneficiary of the bazaar this year is the organization Child, Community, Family (CCF) Moldova, which will open a social crèche in Tiraspol in order to prevent the abandonment of children in institutions and the separation of the socially deprived parents from their children. The crèche is intended for 10 - 12 children of four months to three years. Another part of the proceeds will go to the Oncological Center of Chisinau and persons who receive palliative treatment. According to the organizers, last year the event was visited by over 7,000 persons and there was collected a sum of US$35,000. Over 15 years, the International Women’s Club of Moldova raised more than US$240,000 for different projects. Founded in 1997, the International Women’s Club of Moldova brings together women from different countries whose major goal is the philanthropy and social interaction. The 16th Winter Charity Bazaar will take place at the International Exhibitions Center MoldExpo on December 8, starting at 10.00. Entrance is free of charge.
