A woman aged 36 from Tănătari village of Căușeni district stabbed mortally her husband who ill-treated her while under the influence of alcohol. The couple has four children, three of whom are younger than 18.
Press officer of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate Silvia Vetcu has told IPN that as a result of a conflict, the woman took a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband aged 44 in the heart.
“The family is characterized positively. The couple raised four children, one of whom is aged 20, while the others are minors. The youngest one is four. When the crime was committed, only the spouses where inside the house. The children are receiving psychological assistance and measures are being taken to decide who will undertake guardianship,” stated Silvia Vetcu.
The woman was placed under arrest for 72 hours and faces 15 to 20 years in jail for murder.
