An 80-year-old woman from Lozova village of Straseni district died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a house fire on March 8. Dorina Cruc, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the woman was discovered dead in a room that was partly destroyed by a fire caused by a defective stove. A VAZ-2121 caught fire while moving along Livezilor St in Chisinau. The car was destroyed in several minutes. The same day, the firefighters took out an ambulance that got stuck in the mud at the intersection of Alba Iulia and Onisifor Ghibu streets. Sixty-two persons were killed in fires in Moldova this year.
