Women’s U-19 team competing in tournament in Russia

The national women’s Under – 19 football team of Moldova is taking part in the international tournament “Kubanskaya Vesna” that is taking place in Russia’s Sochi on March 6-17, Info-Prim Neo reports. The competition involves 12 U-19 teams classified into three groups. Moldova will play in the same group with Iran, Northern Korea, and the team of Krasnodar region. Group B includes Turkey, Slovakia, the U.S., and Russia, while group C – Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Estonia. In the first match on March 7, the footballers trained by Victor Greapca will meet Iran’s team. “The participation in this tournament is a useful experience. We will play against powerful football schools like the Asian and American ones,” said Victor Greapca. The Moldovan squad consists of 18 players from clubs competing in the national championship, including Goliador SS-11-Real Chisinau, Noroc Nimoreni, SS-4 Tiraspol, and Victoria-Steaua Macaresti. The lineup is as follows: Ana Zatushevskaya, Elena Corai, Cristina Cerescu, Veronica Rotari, Dumitrita Prisacari, Olga Popova, Ecaterina Dragomir, Anastasia Toma, Ana Arnautu, Ala Andruh, Danuta Chicu, Claudia Chiper, Nadejda Kolesnichenko, Diana Butnaru, Alina Arhiri, Victoria Gurdis, and Valeria Rusu.
