The working group created under an order made by Head of Parliament Igor Corman to examine the problems concerning the implementation of the constitutional provisions on the status of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia will have its first meeting next week, IPN reports.
The announcement was made by the Speaker, who will take part in this meeting. “I hope that the working group will address all the existing problems in a constructive manner,” stated Igor Corman.
The group will formulate proposals for ensuring more efficient interaction between the central public administration and the authorities of Gagauzia. It will also cooperate with civil society and competent international organizations and will submit proposals for adjusting the legislation to the Head of Parliament.
