An original appearance of political writing: this is the description made by the Moldovan poet Ion Hadarca to the debut volume of the writer Dan Nicu, which was presented Thursday at the Writers Union in Chisinau. “The history's step children or a revolution is looked for Basarabia” contains a series of essays previously published in Moldovan publications and is divided into two compartments “Endless fairy tales” and “Ra's eye,” Info-Prim Neo reports.
The style of the book is characterized by a frontal vision, a debate over a reality that the author wants changed, Ion Hadarca added.
“If we want to further speak of a Romanian cause in Basarabia, we need a revolution,” Dan Nicu says. “Only by informing the people they are Romanians and speak Romanian one cannot maintain the Romanian cause afloat. I only know we need it as air, because without it the people of this land may fall into the precipice between the East and the West,” the author said at the launch ceremony.
Dan Nicu was born in 1989, in Taul village, Donduseni district. Now he studies in Bucharest. He participated in and is a laureate of a number of literary contests.
