The State Hydrometeorology Service has issued a yellow code warning for ground frost and, in parts, for air frost. In the period between April 19 and 24, there will be -1..-3°С at night and in the morning.
Contacted by IPN, managing engineer of the Meteorology Division Natalia Canter said that in case of ground frost, the crops can be protected by being covered with polyethylene, while when there is frost in the air the trees in blossom can be protected by making smoke.
She added that air frost is possible mainly in northern Moldova and in depressions.
