Young driver falls asleep and crashes into tree

A young driver was hospitalized after his vehicle crashed into a tree. Paulina Iachimovschi, Traffic Police PR officer, told Info-Prim Neo the 19-year-old was driving at night, in Cocieri village, Dubasari district, when he fell asleep. The car skidded and hit a tree. A 20-year-old man turned over with his motorcycle in Ialoveni, injuring his foot. In Balti, another motorcyclist hit a passer and fled the scene. The victim was hospitalized with incised wound of his hand. A 13-year-old girl was hit by a Volkswagen in Causeni district. She suffered a head trauma, brain concussion and collarbone fracture and was hospitalized. Overall, Saturday and Sunday, 12 traffic accidents injured 16 people in Moldova.
