Young man falls from third floor of apartment building

A 27-year-old man was rushed to the Emergency Hospital after he fell from the third floor of the apartment building where he lives last night. Maria Samatailo, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the incident happened in a building located on Vasile Alecsandri St in Chisinau. The neighbors called an ambulance and informed the man's mother. The ambulance doctors established the man suffered fractures of both of the legs as he landed on the feet. The young man was not under the influence of alcohol. His mother said they did not quarrel and he had no reasons to commit suicide. An investigation is under way. A man aged 40 tried to kill himself by taking pills. He was taken to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox. A 35-year-old woman who came to Chisinau from Drochia to celebrate March 8 got poisoned with mushrooms prepared at home and was admitted to the hospital. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 787 calls, including three cases of flu, 26 cases of pneumonia, 67 traumas, 25 deliveries, 3 myocardial infarctions and eight strokes.
