A man aged 32 died in a road accident on the Tiraspol-Chisinau highway, on the road from Gura Bâcului village towards the capital city, last night.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate Corina Repeshchuk said the young man was driving a VAZ 2121 car. He changed lanes to the opposite direction and collided head-on with a Nissan Micra car driven by a 60-year-old man.
There were two more persons in the second car – a woman and a man. As a result of the impact, the Nissan car was thrown off the roadway, being seriously damaged. Immediately afterward, the VAZ 2121 car collided with a Skoda car that was coming after the Nissan.
The 32-year-old man died on the spot. The Nissan driver and the two passengers, aged 52 and 53, were rushed to the hospital. The Skoda driver was unhurt, but was in a state of shock.
