The Moldovan young people who studied and work abroad are urged to return home to contribute to Moldova’s development. The call was made in a news conference at IPN by representatives of the Party of Law and Justice (PLD), which was recently joined by a group of young people who studied and have experience of work in Western countries. These aim to revitalize the country’s economy and consider that the re-industrialization is a safe solution in this regard.
The leader of the PLD Nicolae Alexei called on the young people who work abroad to return home and ensure changes. “This process that started today will be a transparent one and if the mass media cover it, more young people will be willing to join the Party of Law and Justice. We call upon them to come home and do changes in their native country,” he stated.
In a public call, the young people say they want to renew the political class in Moldova. “We will renew the political class by encouraging the people who possess qualities for holding a political post, who have studies and experience and, especially, wish to improve things in Moldova to join us. Society must regain confidence in the political class. This will happen only when real alternative models are proposed,” it is said in the call.
The young people consider Moldova’s embassies abroad should also contribute to the development of the national economy. “I think we must change the paradigm based on which economic attaches work abroad. Very clear indicators must be established for these diplomas: if they manage to bring two-three companies to invest in the country during a year, they should return home. This way the people will be very inventive,” said Marin Ciobanu.
The goal pursued by the young people who joined the PLD is to improve the economic situation in Moldova. They say Moldova needs another generation of politicians, who would be persons who appreciate the European values. According to them, the solution is in the hands of this generation that should be allowed to assert itself on the political arena.
