Youth organizations that perform activities aimed at promoting the interests of the young people are invited to take part in the contest to get financing for youth initiatives. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research on December 19 launched the 2019 Grants Program to the value of about 7 million lei, IPN reports.
Mister Monica Babuc told a news conference that the 2019 Grants Program aims to support the implementation of youth initiatives and projects with an impact at regional and national levels, to strengthen youth cooperation with civil society and also supports the active participation of young people in the economic, social and cultural life of the country.
The contest is open to organizations where 2/3 of the members are young people. The goal of the program is to support the development of the personality of the young people and their integration into public life. The youth organizations that have co-financing, partnership agreements with different institutions and national and international donors and can make an own contribution of at least 20% of the value of the project can also submit projects.
Secretary of state at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research Radu Rebeja said the filed projects will be assessed by a commission and the ministry will offer financing if they get a positive appraisal. The grants for projects that will be implemented at local/regional level will be 70,000 to 200,000 lei, while for those implemented at national/international level will be 100,000 to 350,000 lei.
The projects must have an implementation period of ten months and must end in December 2019. The applications should be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research by January 22, 2019.
