Zimbru lose friendly with Ceahlaul

Zimbru Chisinau lost an international friendly game with Romania's Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt. The match was played on Thursday, June 21, and ended 2-0 for the Romanian side, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Both goals were scored in the second half by Cristinel Gafita and Vlad Achim. Two Moldovan players in trial at the visiting side, goalkeeper Vladimir Livsit and midfielder Artur Patras, were also on the pitch.
This is the second defeat in the inter-season break for the team coached by Oleg Bejenari. A few days ago the Yellow-Greens were defeated by Dacia Chisinau, score 1-0.
On July 5 and 12, Zimbru will play in the first preliminary round of the Europa League. The opposition will be known after the draw on June 25.
On the same day, champions Sheriff Tiraspol will find their adversary in the second preliminary round of the Champions League. In the meanwhile, on June 23, the Moldovan title-holders will play a friendly game with FC Tiraspol, which will be Georgian Vaja Tarhnisvili’s last game in the Black’n’Yellow jersey. After the final whistle, Sheriff will be awarded the won title (2011-2012) during the awarding ceremony.
