The president of the Party of Socialists Zinaida Grecheanyi said she voted for a good manager who would take care of Chisinau and its citizens and who would make sure that the city becomes nice and comfortable. She made such a statement when going out of the polling place, IPN reports.
“Today, everyone comes to vote in a good mood and with hope that Chisinau will ultimately have a skillful mayor who will not destroy the capital city of the Republic of Moldova, but will build and will improve the conditions here so that we are proud of the city,” stated the politician, noting that together with party colleagues she will visit polling places to monitor the voting process.
The mayoral runoffs in Chisinau involve the Party of Socialists’ candidate Ion Ceban and the candidate of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase. Polling places work from 7am until 9pm.
