The socioeconomic system of the Republic of Moldova should be reviewed. The current system is based on import and consumption, but the country needs revenues, president of the Party of Socialists Zinaida Grecheanyi stated in the program “Direct access” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“We must earn money in the country and be able to produce and export so as to bring the citizens home,” stated Zinaida Grecheanyi.
Referring to the pension system, the Socialist leader said the pensions should be indexed two times a year by at least 18-20% so that the elderly people feel the difference in revenues. The current indexations do not make the pensioners happier. “Many aspects of the pension system should be reviewed. Until then it would be most reasonable to index the pensions two times a year in accordance with the minimum consumer basket,” noted the politician.
The Socialist leader said the heat tariffs should be reviewed following the decrease in gas tariffs.
