Products and services with a low environmental impact will be granted an ecolabel that will ensure that consumers are informed about their quality. The initiative was supported by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Environment Sergiu Lazarenco, this system will encourage operators to sell goods or services with a low environmental impact, and consumers – to easily identify goods and services that are environmentally friendly and environmentally inoffensive.
The document was developed in the context of the need to form the normative framework for the implementation of the Ecolabel Regulation, by including the ECO symbol.
The ecolabel is not applied on medicinal products for human use. It will be granted at the request of the operator by the certification institution in the field of eco-labeling, accredited by the National Accreditation Center (MOLDAC).
